000 TTAA00 KMIA 062156 RRA SVRMIA FLC011-025-062300- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND SPECIAL MARINE WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL 555 PM EDT SUN JUL 6 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA ...BROWARD COUNTY...DADE COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PUSH DAMAGING WINDS EASTWARD INTO BROWARD AND DADE COUNTY METROPOLITAN AREAS. THE STRONG WIND GUSTS WILL PROCEDE EAST ACROSS HIGHWAY 27 AND ON EAST OF THE TURNPIKE OVER BROWARD AREAS...AND WILL ALSO PUSH EASTWARD FROM KROME AVENUE AND EAST BEYOND THE TURNPIKE OVER MUCH OF DADE COUNTY METRO AREAS. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWS LOCAL WINDS MAY EXCEED 60 MPH AS THEY GUST FROM THE WEST AND NORTHWEST. EVENTUALLY STRONG WINDS WILL AFFECT COASTAL WATERS. BOATERS HEAD TO SAFE HARBOR OR TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS. DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
