THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND TX HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 420 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN WESTERN TEXAS

   ...WESTERN PECOS COUNTY

HEAVY RAINS EARLIER THIS EVENING HAVE CAUSED FLOODING OF COYANOSA
DRAW OVER WESTERN PECOS COUNTY. RUNNING WATER UP TO 10 FT HAS BEEN
REPORTED SPILLING WELL OUT OF THE DRAW IN THE VICINITY OF FM 1776
AND ALONG RURAL ACCESS ROADS THAT CROSS COYANOSA DRAW JUST SOUTH AND
WEST OF THE COMMUNITY OF COYANOSA.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING
WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CLAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY.
