AT 540 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POSSIBLY PRODUCING
A TORNADO 8 MILES EAST OF LIBERTY ALONG HIGHWAY 24.
 
AT 528 PM CDT...PIKE COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE RELAYED A REPORT OF A PUBLIC
SIGHTING OF A TORNADO ALONG HIGHWAY 24 BETWEEN LIBERTY AND MCCOMB. SOME
TREES WERE BLOWN DOWN.
 
THIS LATEST STORM WAS DRIFTING SLOWLY SOUTHWARD TOWARDS THE PEORIA AREA
AND MAY APPROACH THE GILLSBURG AREA BY 6 PM.
