FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 145 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST NORTH CAROLINA
 
   ...SOUTHERN JACKSON COUNTY
 
WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES HAVE INDICATED
THAT OVER 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS THE AREA SINCE 830 PM.
THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS FALLEN IN EASTERN JACKSON COUNTY NEAR ROCK BRIDGE
AND ALSO IN WESTERN JACKSON COUNTY NEAR THORPE RESERVIOR INCLUDING
GLENVILLE.  CEDAR CREEK AND WEBB LAKE HAVE ALSO BEEN AFFECTED.
 
NEARLY STATIONARY THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHERN JACKSON COUNTY WILL
CONTINUE BUILDING TO THE SOUTH-SOUTHWEST DUMPING AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO
2 INCHES OF RAIN THROUGH 1100 PM.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS. TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO fCROSS
FLOODED ROADS. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND.
