FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  215 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA

   ...EASTERN GRAND FORKS COUNTY

THE FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS FOR THE RIVERSIDE PARK AREA...LINCOLN DRIVE
AREA...AND CENTRAL PARK AREA HAVE BEEN EXTENDED DUE TO POTIENTIAL DIKE
FAILURES IN THE GRAND FORKS AREA.

PERSONS LIVING IN THE 1300 TO 1700 BLOCK OF BELMONT WEST TO COTTONWOOD
ST ARE TO EVACUATE IMMEDIATLY.

DO NOT PANIC. IF YOU MUST EVACUATE...DO SO IN AN ORDERLY MANNER.

AT 745 AM CDT THE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER IN GRAND FORKS REPORTED
THE WATER WAS OVERFLOWING THE DIKE IN THE RIVERSIDE PARK AREA.
DIKES IN THE LINCOLN DRIVE AREA AND RIVERSIDE PARK AREA ARE UNSTABLE
AND MAY FAIL.

REMAIN CALM AND MONITOR THIS DEVELOPING SITUTATION BY LISTENING TO
NOAA WEATHER RADIO...CABLE TV...AND OTHER LOCAL MEDIA.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
