FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  345 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

AT 930 PM CDT...AN ICE JAM WAS LOCATED ON THE BOIS DE SIOUX RIVER NEAR
THE CITY OF TYLER ND...SOUTH OF THE CITIES OF WAHPETON ND AND BRECKENRID
MN.  THERE ARE CONCERNS THIS EVENING THAT THIS ICE JAM MAY BEGIN TO
BREAK UP.  SHOULD THIS HAPPEN...THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR A RAPID RIVER R
EDOWNSTREAM IN THE CITIES OF WAHPETON AND BRECKENRIDGE TO BETWEEN 18 AND
19 FEET.
 
ALTHOUGH NO OFFICIAL REPORTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED AS OF YET...THE
POTENTIAL DOES EXIST FOR THIS QUICK RIVER RISE DOWNSTREAM SHOULD THE ICE
JAM BREAK.  PEOPLE LIVING IN THESE AREAS SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE
SITUATION AND BE PREPARED TO ACT QUICKLY.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.
