THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EASTERN ND/GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA
 
   ...BARNES COUNTY
 
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO ONE TO THREE INCHES HAVE OCCURRED IN THE PAST
FOUR HOURS FROM THUNDERSTORMS THAT HAVE MOVED OVER BARNES COUNTY IN
SOUTHEASTERN NORTH DAKOTA.  FLOODING OVER THIS AREA WILL OCCUR
ESPECIALLY OVER ROADS AND DITCHES DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
 
NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST AT 15 MPH OVER BARNES
COUNTY DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF
UP TO 1.5 INCHES WILL HAPPEN DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.  ISOLATED AMOUNTOF 1.0 TO 2.0 INCHES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.
 
SOME CITIES IN THIS WARNING INCLUDE VALLEY CITY...SIBLEY...SANBORN...AND
KATHRYN.  AT 350 A.M. THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
VALLEY CITY.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
