IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA ...WALTON COUNTY AT 647 PM EST...DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR WALNUT GROVE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THE STORM WILL PASS VERY NEAR MONROE BETWEEN 705 AND 715 PM. THIS STORM APPEARS TO BE PRODUCING LARGE HAIL. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DONT USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
