648 WUUS1 KATL 210102 RRA SVRATL GAC113-210130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA 901 PM EDT FRI JUN 20 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA ...FAYETTE COUNTY AT 858 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THE COWETE-FAYETTE COUNTY LINE NORTHWEST OF PEACHTREE CITY MOVING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST. THIS STORM PRODUCED NICKEL SIZE HAIL IN SHARPSBURG. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. BOATERS, GOLFERS, AND OTHERS INVOLVED IN OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
