THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...FAYETTE COUNTY
 
AT 955 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED 2 TO 4 INCHES OF
RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER SOUTHERN FAYETTE COUNTY FROM CISTERN TO MULDOON TO
FLATONIA DURING THE PAST ONE TO TWO HOURS. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
CONTINUE TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
LIKELY.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND IF YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.
 
FLOOD PRONE URBAN AREAS FILL WITH WATER QUICKLY.  CLOGGED STORM
DRAINS MAY CAUSE OTHER AREAS TOr FLOOD.  DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH
FLOOD WATERS AND STAY AWAY FROM STORM DRAINS.
