IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...DE WITT COUNTY...LAVACA COUNTY RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN MOVING ACROSS EASTERN DEWITT COUNTY AND INTO WESTERN LAVACA COUNTY. THIS AREA OF RAIN IS MOVING ACROSS AN AREA SATURATED BY HEAVY RAIN LAST EVENING. RESIDENTS IN YOAKUM..SHINER..HOCHHEIM..AND MOULTON AS WELL AS SURROUNDINCOMMUNITIES SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO SAFETY IF RISING WATER THREATENS. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
