FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS

AT 145 AM CDT STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN STRETCHED FROM
MOUNTAIN HOME TO INGRAM TO MEDINA. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES ONE HOUR
RAINFALL RATES AT 1 1/2 TO 2 INCHES OVER SOUTHERN KERR COUNTY. UP
TO 3 INCHES OR RAIN MAY HAVE FALLEN IN THIS AREA SINCE MIDNIGHT.
LOW WATER CROSSINGS ON HIGHWAY 39 ALONG THE SOUTH FORK OF THE
GUADALUPE RIVER ARE LIKELY TO BE UNDER WATER EARLY THIS MORNING
AND THE GUADALUPE RIVER COULD SHOW A RAPID RISE ABOVE HUNT BY 4AM.
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE
RISING WATER DURING THREATENING RAINS.
