000 TTAA00 KEKA 020208 RRA SVREKA CAC105-020245- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EUREKA CA 703 PM PDT TUE JUL 1 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EUREKA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM PDT NORTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA... IN NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA ...SOUTHERN TRINITY COUNTY AT 700PM...EUREKA DOPPLER RADAR WAS INDICATING A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 7 MILES NORTHEAST OF RUTH LAKE. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING WEST AROUND 10 MPH AND SHOULD BE NEAR RUTH LAKE BEFORE 725PM. PERSONS ON RUTH LAKE SHOULD HEAD ASHORE AS THIS DANGEROUS STORM NEARS. THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL...UP TO AN INCH IN DIAMETER...AS WELL AS FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
