000 TTAA00 KDLH 140118 RRA SVRDLH MNC001-140215- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN 817 PM CDT SUN JUL 13 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DULUTH HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 915 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...AITKIN COUNTY AT 815 PM...DULUTH DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 45 MILES NORTHEAST OF BRAINERD...NEAR SWATARA TO 5 MILES EAST OF BRAINERD. THESE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH ARE THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM THESE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. CITIES IN THE PATH OF THESE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS INCLUDE RABEY... AITKIN AND THE NORTHERN PORTION OF MILLE LACS LAKE BY 840 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
