* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
  CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN GOSHEN COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN WYOMING

* UNTIL 300 AM MDT

* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS INCLUDE
  YODER
  HUNTLEY
  VETERAN
  HAWK SPRINGS
  TORRINGTON

* CAUSE AND EFFECT
  SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE CONTINUING TO DROP UP TO AN INCH OF
  RAIN PER HOUR IN PARTS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN GOSHEN COUNTY.  A
  NEARLY STATIONARY BAND OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN EXTENDED FROM
  NORTH OF TORRINGTON TO WEST OF HAWK SPRINGS AT 1030 PM.  WHILE THIS
  RAIN WAS NOT AS HEAVY AS THE DOWNPOURS EARLIER IN THE EVENING THAT
  INITIATED THE FLOODING...IT WILL DELAY THE DRAINAGE OF THE FLOOD
  WATERS INTO EARLY MORNING.

  LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS IN TORRINGTON REPORT THAT 4 TO 5 INCHES
  OF WATER CONTINUES TO COVER THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS SOUTH OF
  TORRINGTON: U.S. 85...WY 92...WY 152...WY 154...WY 156 AND WY 161.


DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS. SHALLOW...SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER
CAN WASH A CAR FROM A ROADWAY.  ALSO...THE ROADBED MAY NOT BE
INTACT UNDER THE WATER.
