FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY......
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS

DOPPLER RADAR IS INDICATING STRONG THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY
RAINFALL FROM PREMONT TO CORPUS CHRISTI TO THE ROCKPORT-FULTON AREA.
MODERATE RAINS WHERE FALLING FROM SAN ANTONIO TO ROCKPORT. THE HEAVY
RAINS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE INTO ARANSAS COUNTY FROM THE CORPUS
CHRISTI METROPOLITAN AREA. RAINFALL TOTALS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE
LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS WITHIN A VERY SHORT TIME. RESIDENTS IN THE
WARNED AREAS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS. CONTINUED
HEAVY RAINS COMBINED WITH ALREADY SATURATED GROUNDS WILL FURTHER
AGGRAVATE FLOODING PROBLEMS.
 
WE WILL CONTINUE MONITORING THE AREA CLOSELY AND WILL ISSUE UPDATED
STATEMENTS ONCE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGH GROUND. DO NOT STAY IN
AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
