FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAM
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

AT 4:45 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED AN AREA OF MODERATE TO LOCALLY
HEAVY RAIN OVER EASTERN TRUMBULL COUNTY. RADAR ESTIMATED FROM .75 AND
1.25 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN SINCE 4PM FROM HUBBARD NORTH TO HARTFORD
AND VERNON AND SOME FLOODING WAS REPORTED NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF
ROUTES 7 AND 82.
 
IN ADDITION RADAR SHOWS ANOTHER AREA OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND
THUNDERSTORMS IN WESTERN TRUMBULL COUNTY.  THESE STORMS WERE MOVING
EAST AND WILL DROP UP TO ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN AS THEY PASS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
