000 TTAA00 KCLE 220022 FFWCLE OHC051-069-095-220300- FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CLEVELAND OH 820 PM EDT SAT JUN 21 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAM EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN OHIO ...FULTON COUNTY...HENRY COUNTY...LUCAS COUNTY AT 815 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS FROM DETROIT TO BOWLING GREEN TO LIMA. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING VERY SLOWLY EASTWARD AT 15 MPH. RAIN IN EXCESS OF 1.5 INCHES HAS BEEN REPORTED IN THE PAST HOUR WITH THESE STORMS. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS ARE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS...WHICH WILL CAUSE SOME FLOODING OF STREETS...LOWLANDS AND UNDERPASSES. AT 820 PM...SKYWARN OBSERVERS REPORTED 2.10 INCHES OF RAIN IN THE PAST 20 MINUTES OVER THE NORTHEAST SECTION OF THE CITY OF TOLEDO. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
