FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN  GEORGIA
 
   ...COLUMBIA COUNTY...RICHMOND COUNTY
 
A LARGE AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA AROUND
MIDDAY. THE GROUND IS ALREADY SATURATED AND SOME CREEKS AND STREAMS ARE
ALREADY AT BANKFULL. RAINFALL AMOUNTS 1 TO 1 1/2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED
THIS AFTERNOON. THIS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND
OTHER FLOOD PRONE AREAS.
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
