THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......
 
IN SOUTH TEXAS
 
   ...STARR COUNTY
 
OVERNIGHT RAINS THAT TOTALLED 5 TO 8 INCHES IN PARTS OF STARR...ZAPATA
AND JIM HOGG COUNTIES HAVE CAUSED SOME FLOODING MAINLY IN THE RIO GRANDE
CITY AREA WHERE SOME EVACUATIONS HAVE BEEN ORDERED IN THE
GARCIAS-SALINAS SECTION OF TOWN. IT WILL LIKELY TAKE SEVERAL HOURS
FOR THE WATERS TO RECEDE SINCE FURTHER RAINS ARE ONGOING AND IT MAY
CONTINUE RAINING UNTIL AFTER DAWN. THE HEAVIEST RAINS HOWEVER HAVE
MOVED SOUTH OF THE AREA INTO MEXICO.
