THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES

IN NORTHEAST COLORADO
     CENTRAL WELD AND WESTERN MORGAN

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
     BARNESVILLE...BRIGGSDALE...HOYT...ORCHARD...RIVERSIDE RESERVOIR
     AND WIGGINS

AT 358 PM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A 
LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHING FROM THE WELD...MORGAN...ADAMS 
COUNTIES LINE INTERSECTIONS NORTH-NORTHWESTWARD INTO NORTHCENTRAL 
WELD COUNTY.  THE PUBLIC AND LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS...AS WELL AS 
DOPPLER RADAR SIGNATURES  INDICATE THESE STORMS WERE PRODUCING SEVERAL FUNNEL 
CLOUDS ALONG THEIR LENGTH. 

THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES PER HOUR.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN
INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE...LIE FLAT IN THE
NEAREST DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.
