WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES
IN NORTHEAST COLORADO
NORTHWESTERN ARAPAHOE...EASTERN DENVER AND SOUTHWESTERN ADAMS
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
NORTHERN AURORA...SOUTHEASTERN COMMERCE CITY AND EASTERN
DENVER
AT 515 PM MDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED TORRENTIAL
RAIN CONTINUING OVER THE EXTREME EASTERN PORTIONS OF DENVER.
RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN 2.5 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN
IN EXTREME EASTERN DENVER COUNTY. SURFACE REPORTS ALSO INDICATED
UP TO 2.8 INCHES OF RAIN NEAR STAPLETON AIRPORT...WITH UP TO 2
INCHES IN NORTHERN AURORA.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
