THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM MST
(600 PM PST) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......
 
IN NORTHWEST ARIZONA
 
   ...CENTRAL MOHAVE COUNTY
 
THIS WARNING IS AN EXTENSION OF THE PREVIOUS TORNADO AND FLASH FLOOD
WARNING FOR MOHAVE COUNTY.
 
AT 553 PM MST A PILOT REPORTED A TORNADO 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
KINGMAN. LAS VEGAS DOPPLER RADAR ALSO INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO
IN THE SAME LOCATION.  AT 615 PM MST...RADAR SHOWED AN AREA OF
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CENTERED IN AND AROUND KINGMAN AND EXTENDING
20 MILES TO THE SOUTHWEST.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST
20 MPH.
 
FLASH FLOODING CONTINUES TO BE REPORTED IN KINGMAN WITH 1.26 INCHES
OF RAIN REPORTED AT THE AIRPORT SINCE 500 PM MST.
 
THESE ARE DANGEROUS STORMS.  IF YOU LIVE IN OR NEAR KINGMAN YOU
SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER...PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG
BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
