000 TTAA00 KTUS 150019 FFWTUS AZC019-150215- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON ARIZONA 520 PM MST WED AUG 14 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON ARIZONA HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 715 PM MST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA ...EASTERN PIMA COUNTY INCLUDING THE GREATER TUCSON AREA... AT 515 PM TUCSON DOPPLER RADAR AND SPOTTER REPORTS FROM AROUND TUCSON INDICATED THAT FLASH FLOODING WAS OCCURRING OVER PORTIONS OF THE GREATER TUCSON METRO AREA. MOVEMENT OF THE PARENT STORMS IS TO THE WEST AT ABOUT 10 MPH. STORMS TODAY HAVE BEEN PRODUCING EXTREMELY HEAVY RAIN AND DRIVING WILL BE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS UNTIL AT LEAST 630 PM. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO WASHES WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. AVOID DRIVING. MCCOLLUM &
