000 TTAA00 KPHX 260249 SVRPHX AZC013-260400- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHOENIX AZ 740 PM MST THU JUL 25 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHOENIX AZ HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM MST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA ...NORTHERN MARICOPA COUNTY INCLUDING NORTH PHOENIX...SUN CITY...PEORIA...GLENDALE... CAVE CREEK...CAREFREE...AND FOUNTAIN HILLS AT 740 PM...RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE EAST AND SOUTH PORTIONS OF THE PHOENIX METRO AREA. THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHWEST AT 15 MPH AND WILL AFFECT THE NORTH AND WEST SIDES OF THE METRO THROUGH 900 PM. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING ALSO REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE EAST AND SOUTH PORTIONS OF THE METRO AREA UNTIL 830 PM. WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH ARE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS.
