000 TTAA00 KPHL 081941 SVRPHL NJC025-082030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ 340 PM EDT SUN SEP 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NEW JERSEY ...MONMOUTH COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AT 338 PM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER NORTHERN MONMOUTH COUNTY...WITH ANOTHER SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CELL MOVING INTO WESTERN MONMOUTH COUNTY. DANGEROUS CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING WILL ALSO OCCUR WITH THESE STORMS. DAMAGE WAS REPORTED IN THE NORTH BRUNSWICK AND EDISON AREAS IN MIDDLESEX COUNTIES AT ABOUT 315 PM. A TREE WAS DOWNED IN HOLMDEL IN MONMOUTH COUNTY AT ABOUT 335 PM. HEAVY RAINS WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND UNDERPASSES VERY QUICKLY.
