000 TTAA00 KPHL 191613 FFWPHL NJC007-191900- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ 1205 PM EDT SAT OCT 19 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING UNTIL 300 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NEW JERSEY ...CAMDEN COUNTY HEAVY RAINS SINCE FRIDAY NIGHT HAVE CAUSED RAPID RISES ON THE COOPER RIVER. RADAR ESTIMATES OF 1 AND 1/2 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE OCCURRED SINCE FRIDAY NIGHT. AT NOON...THE RIVER GAGE REPORT AT HADDONFIELD ON THE COOPER RIVER WAS 3.2 FEET. FLOOD STAGE AT HADDONFIELD IS 2.8 FEET. THE COOPER RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE RISING SLOWLY OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA PRONE TO FLOODING...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY...BEFORE YOUR ACCESS IS CUT OFF BY RISING FLOOD WATERS. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...ABANDON IT AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND QUICKLY. RAPIDLY RISING WATER MAY ENGULF THE CAR AND SWEEP IT AWAY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS. THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER THAN YOU THINK.
