THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A FLASH
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
LOCATION IN DELAWARE

   ...NEW CASTLE COUNTY
 
UP TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN PART OF NEW CASTLE
COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON.  AT 545 PM...THE RIVER GAGE ON THE CHRISTINA
RIVER AT COOCH/S BRIDGE HAD A READING OF 8.1 FEET.  THE LEVEL OF THE
RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO RISE...AND IT SHOULD REACH THE FLOOD STAGE OF
9.0 FEET BY 630 PM.

WITH THE HEAVIER RAIN EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF BY ABOUT 700 OR 730 PM IN
NEW CASTLE COUNTY...THE CHRISTINA RIVER SHOULD CREST AT COOCH/S
BRIDGE AROUND 800 OR 830 PM AT ABOUT 10.0 FEET.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA.
