THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS
ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 850 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN  DELAWARE

   ...NEW CASTLE COUNTY

FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE CHRISTINA RIVER IN NEW CASTLE COUNTY.
AT 445 AM...THE RIVER STAGE AT COOCHS BRIDGE ON THE CHRISTINA WAS 7.7
FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS 9 FEET. THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE RISING
AND SHOULD CREST AROUND FLOOD STAGE EARLY THIS MORNING.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 1/2 TO 2 1/2 INCHES WERE INDICATED ON RADAR OVER
NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY SINCE THE RAIN BEGAN MONDAY AFTERNOON.

THE HEAVY RAINS THAT FELL OVERNIGHT CAN CAUSE FLOODING OF POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS IN A HURRY. BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY
CHANGING CONDITIONS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA.

FLOODING...BE ALERT TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. AFTER THE STORM HAS
