000 TTAA00 KPHL 131956 COR FFWPHL NJC021-132255- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS AND URBAN AREAS...CORRECTED NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ 355 PM EDT THU JUN 13 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 655 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NEW JERSEY ...SOUTHERN MERCER COUNTY AT 355 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINS OVER SOUTHERN MERCER COUNTY...MAINLY SOUTH OF ASSUNPINK CREEK. RADAR ALSO INDICATED RAINFALL AMOUNTS AROUND AN INCH IN THIS AREA OVER THIS AREA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH. MORE THUNDERSTORMS MAY REFORM IN THIS SAME AREA OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. THIS IS THE SAME AREA THAT RECEIVED UP TO 7 INCHES OF RAIN YESTERDAY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS. THE DEPTH OF THE WATER MAY BE HIGHER THAN YOU THINK. RAPIDLY RISING WATERS CAN QUICKLY ENGULF YOUR VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS...WASHING THEM AWAY.
