FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  745 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

   ...CECIL COUNTY
 
AT 530 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN CECIL COUNTY...MARYLAND. WHILE THE
PRECIPITATION IS BEGINNING TO TAPER OFF...SOME FLOODING HAS BEEN
REPORTED.  ROUTE 7...BETWEEN ELKTON AND NORTH EAST HAS BEEN CLOSED
DUE TO WATER.  RAINFALL TOTALS THIS AFTERNOON HAVE BEEN ESTIMATED
TO BE AROUND 3 TO 4 INCHES IN THAT AREA.
 
WITH LITTLE ADDITIONAL RAIN EXPECTED THROUGH THIS EVENING...THE
FLOOD WATERS SHOULD QUICKLY BEGIN TO SUBSIDE.
 
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS.  THE DEPTH OF THE
WATER MAY BE HIGHER THAN YOU THINK.  RAPIDLY& RISING WATERS CAN
QUICKLY ENGULF YOUR VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS...WASHING THEM AWAY.
REMEMBER...MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
