THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS
ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 12 NOON EST FOR PEOPLE
IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN  DELAWARE

   ...NEW CASTLE COUNTY

AT 440 AM...THE LEVEL OF THE CHRISTINA RIVER AT COOCHES BRIDGE WAS
7.7 FEET.  THE FLOOD STAGE AT THAT LOCATION IS 9.0 FEET.  WHILE THE
HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO END BY 700 AM IN NORTHERN DELAWARE...THE
LEVEL OF THE RIVER SHOULD CONTINUE TO RISE UNTIL 900 AM. BASED ON
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES...THE
CHRISTINA RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CREST AT A LEVEL OF ABOUT 10.0 FEET
BEFORE RETURNING TO ITS BANKS.

A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA.
