THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS
ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 AM EST FOR
PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN  DELAWARE

   ...NEW CASTLE COUNTY
 
AT 220 AM...THE LEVEL OF THE CHRISTINA RIVER AT COOCHES BRIDGE WAS
9.2 FEET.  THE FLOOD STAGE AT THAT LOCATION IS 9.0 FEET.  WHILE THE
HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO END BY 300 AM IN NORTHERN DELAWARE...THE
LEVEL OF THE RIVER SHOULD CONTINUE TO RISE UNTIL ABOUT 330 OR 400 AM.
BASED ON RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE AND A HALF TO TWO INCHES...THE
CHRISTINA RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CREST AT A LEVEL OF ABOUT 10.0 FEET
BEFORE RETURNING TO ITS BANKS BY AROUND DAYBREAK.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA.
