THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS
ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN  DELAWARE

   ...NORTHERN NEW CASTLE COUNTY
 

HEAVY RAIN OVER THE HEADWATERS HAS FORCED THE CHRISTINA RIVER AT
COOCHS BRIDGE OVER FLOOD STAGE.  IT IS CURRENTLY READING 10.3 FEET.
FLOOD STAGE IS 9 FEET.  WITH THE HEAVY RAIN OVER...THE RIVER SHOULD
CREST BETWEEN 10.5 AND 11.0 FEET LATER THIS MORNING AND CAUSE SOME
DOWNSTREAM FLOODING IN NEWPORT AND SOUTH WILMINGTON.

DO NOT DRIVE ON FLOODED ROADS...OR MOVE BARRICADES.  IT IS DIFFICULT
TO JUDGE THE DEPTH OF WATER ON ROADWAYS.  IF YOU SEE FLOODING
APPROACH YOU...BE ALERT TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. AFTER
THE STORM HAS PASSED...AND THE THREAT OF FLOODING IS OVER...REPORT
ANY SEVERE WEATHER OR FLOODING TO YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY
AND HAVE THEM RELAY YOUR SEVERE WEATHER REPORT ON TO THE NATIONAL
