000 TTAA00 KBNA 062248 TORBNA TNC055-062330- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN 445 PM CST WED MAR 6 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE ...SOUTHERN GILES COUNTY AT 4:40 PM CST NEXRAD DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO MOVING THROUGH THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF GILES COUNTY FROM THE WEST. THE STROM SMOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. IT IS PRESENTLY NEAR MINOR HILL AND WILL PASS NEAR STEELA AND PROSPECT DURING THE NEXT FEW MINUTES. IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR APARTMENT...SEEK SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST PDORTION OF THE BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. GET TO A BASEMENT IF ONE IS AVAILABLE. AVOID WINDOWS AND PROTECT YOUR BODY FROM FLYING DEBRIS WITH CUSHIONS...BLANKETS...OR PILLOWS.
