THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...

IN SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY

   ...NORTHERN FLOYD
   ...SOUTHERN MAGOFFIN
 
AT 8:55 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM HAD REDEVELOPED OVER NORTHERN FLOYD
AND SOUTHERN MAGOFFIN COUNTIES. THE STORM EXTENDED FROM PRESTONSBURG TO
JUST EAST OF SALYERSVILLE. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT 15 MPH AND
WILL AFFECT AREAS AROUND IVYTON...BONANZA AND ALLEN CITY THROUGH 10 PM.

HEAVY RAINS FALLING ON ALREADY SATURATED GROUND COULD PRODUCE FLOODING
OF STREAMS AND CREEKS.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...
DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  FOR YOUR
