THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO NY HAS EXTENDED THE FLOOD 
WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS UNTIL 500 AM EDT SUNDAY
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN WESTERN AND CENTRAL NEW YORK...

...MONROE COUNTY...ONTARIO COUNTY...ORLEANS COUNTY AND...WAYNE 
   COUNTY...

RECORD RAINFALL AMOUNTS FOR THIS DATE HAVE OCCURRED IN ROCHESTER
AND SURROUNDING AREAS...WITH BETWEEN 2.5 AND 3.5 INCHES FALLING  
SINCE FRIDAY EVENING ACROSS THE LOWER GENESEE VALLEY AND WESTERN 
FINGER LAKES.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A LARGE AREA 
OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE LOWER GENESEE RIVER VALLEY AND 
MUCH OF THE WESTERN FINGER LAKES REGION.

STEADY RAIN WILL CONTINUE...HEAVY AT TIMES...THROUGH THE PRE DAWN 
HOURS OF SUNDAY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE-HALF TO ONE INCH 
ARE POSSIBLE BEFORE SUNRISE ON SUNDAY.

SMALL STREAMS WERE NEAR...OR JUST OVER BANKFULL ACROSS MUCH OF THE 
WARNING AREA. IN ADDITION...REPORTS OF URBAN STREET FLOODING AND 
BASEMENT FLOODING HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.

REMEMBER..l.DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS 
THE ROADWAY...SINCE THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR 
VEHICLE TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE 
ABANDONED QUICKLY.
