THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO NY HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING UNTIL 330 PM
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN WESTERN NEW YORK

   ...GENESEE COUNTY
   ...NORTHERN LIVINGSTON COUNTY

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AT 135 PM SHOWED NUMEROUS
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING TO MOVE ACROSS GENESEE AND 
NORTHERN LIVINGSTON COUNTIES. MUCH OF THIS AREA HAS RECEIVED ONE TO 
TWO INCHES OF RAIN SINCE NOON...ON TOP OF TWO TO THREE INCHES WHICH 
FELL LAST EVENING.

ADDITIONAL STORMS WILL BE MOVING EAST ACROSS THIS AREA THROUGH
AT LEAST 3 PM...WITH RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR. 
FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS ALONG WITH SMALL STREAMS IS LIKELY.

TOWNS MOST THREATENED BY FLOODING INCLUDE BATAVIA...ELBA...AND 
OAKFIELD IN GENESEE COUNTY...AND AVON...LIVONIA AND LIMA IN 
LIVINGSTON COUNTY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
