000 TTAA00 KALB 082308 RRA FFWALB MAC003-NYC021-027-090415- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY 707 PM EDT SAT JUN 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY NY HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN WEST MASSACHUSETTS ...BERKSHIRE COUNTY IN EAST NEW YORK ...COLUMBIA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK ...NORTHERN DUTCHESS COUNTY DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED PRECIPITATION ESTIMATES OF 3 TO 4 INCHES IN SOUTHERN COLUMBIA COUNTY BETWEEN 4 AND 7 PM. ONE TO THREE INCHES HAS ALSO FALLEN OVER NORTHERN DUTCHESS AND BERKSHIRE COUNTIES. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME LESS NUMEROUS DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS BUT ONE TO TWO INCHES OF ADDITIONAL RAIN IS POSSIBLE. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
