THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
      CENTRAL EAST IREDELL

AT 812 PM EDT A TORNADO WAS ON THE GROUND IN STATESVILLE.
THE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THIS TORNADO WAS MOVING TOWARD THE
EAST AT 30 MPH AND WILL MOVE THROUGH STATESVILLE AND EASTERN
IREDELL COUNTY...CLOSE TO ELMWOOD...BY 830 PM.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.
