IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO ...SOUTHERN OTERO COUNTY A TORNADO WILL MOVE ACROSS HIGHWAY 350 IN THE VINCINITY OF TIMPAS BY 440 PM MDT. AT 430 PM MDT THIS TORNADO WAS 2 MILES WEST OF TIMPAS...OR 16 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LA JUNTA. THE TORNADO WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MPH. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE TO GO IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...GO TO AN INTERIOR ROOM...
