000 TTAA00 KPUB 080217 TORPUB COC089-080245- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PUEBLO CO 816 PM MDT WED JUN 7 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PUEBLO HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO ...NORTHERN OTERO COUNTY AND SOUTHERN CROWLEY AT 810 PM MDT...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO DEVELOPING 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MANZANOLA. THE ASSOCIATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THE STORM AND TORNADO WILL MOVE OVER THE MANZANOLA AREA AND HIGHWAY 50 BY 830 PM. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE TO GO IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBDENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...GO TO AN INTERIOR ROOM... SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS... OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR BODY. AVOID WINDOWS.
