A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM...THAT HAS HAD A HISTORY OF PRODUCING HAIL AS
LARGE AS BASEBALLS...WAS OVER SOUTHERN ORANGE COUNTY TO THE SOUTH OF
MIDDLETOWN NEAR ROUTE 284.
 
THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING SOUTH AT 15 MILES AN HOUR AND SHOULD ENTER
NORTHERN SUSSEX COUNTY NEAR VERNON ABOUT 645 PM AND PASS CLOSE TO
HAMBURG...FRANKLIN AND SPARTA.
 
THIS THUNDERSTORM IS ALSO LIKELY TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS.
 
HEAVY RAINS WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
STREAMS AND UNDERPASSES VERY QUICKLY.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COKVERS THE ROADWAY.  THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER
THAN YOU THINK.  IF CAUGHT IN RISING WATERS...ABANDON YOUR CAR
