THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
 
   ...CHEATHAM COUNTY...DAVIDSON COUNTY...HICKMAN COUNTY
   ...ROBERTSON COUNTY...SUMNER COUNTY...WILSON COUNTY
 
A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE
NASHVILLE METROPOLITAN AREA AS WELL AS PARTS OF HICKMAN COUNTY. DUE TO
THE PAST HEAVY RAINFALL...THE GROUND IS SATURATED THUS HEAVY RUNOFF WILL
OCCUR. MOTORISTS NEED TO AVOID AREAS WHERE HIGH WATR COVERS THE ROAD.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
