SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  545 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA

AT 5:05 DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THE TOWN OF
BURKHARDT OR ABOUT 20 MILES EAST OF ST. PAUL. THIS STORM IS MOVING
NORTHWEST AND WILL AFFECT THE TOWNS OF NEW RICHMOND...SOMERSET...MAPLE
ISLAND AND STILLWATER.
 
THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND STRONG DAMAGING
WINDS.  THREE QUARTERS INCH HAIL AND WIND GUSTS TO 55 MPH WERE REPORTED
IN BURKHARDT AT 5 PM.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...
DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  FOR YOUR PROTECTION
