THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MINNEAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING     EFFECTIVE UNTIL  630 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA
 
   ...BLUE EARTH COUNTY
 
TWIN CITIES DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN WATOMAN
COUNTY. AT 541 PM THE STORM WAS NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAYS 30 AND
60. THE STORM IS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 30 MILES AN HOUR. THE
STORM SHOULD BE PASSING GARDEN CITY BY 6 PM...AND RAPIDAN BY 620 PM AND
JUST SOUTH OF MANKATO BY 630 PM.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING.  STAY INDOORS...REMAIN CALM AND BE READY TO MOVE
QUICKLY TO THE BASEMENT.
