THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  300 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN
 
   ...NORTHERN POLK COUNTY
 
AT 1150 AM...DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE THAT HEAVY RAINS HAD
FALLEN OVER PARTS OF NORTHERN POLK COUNTY IN NORTHWEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN
SINCE 700 AM THIS MORNING.
SINCE THE GROUND IS ALREADY SATURATED AND RAINFALL AMOUNTS HAVE EXCEED
UP TO FOUR INCHES.  THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH
FLOOD WARNING FOR PEOPLE IN NORTHERN POLK COUNTY IN WISCONSIN
UNTIL 300 PM THIS AFTERNOON.
 
ANY ADDITIONAL RUNOFF FROM THESE RAINS WILL CAUSE STREAMS TO RISE
RAPIDLY WITHIN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.  PEOPLE LIVING OR CAMPING ALONG
THE TRIBUARIES OF THE TRADE AND STRAIGHT RIVERS SHOULD CONSIDER TO MOVE
TO HIGHER GROUND OR BE PREPARE TO EVACUATE IF FLOODING OCCURS OR IS
IMMINENT.
 
RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER EAST
CENTRAL MINNESOTA INTO PARTS OF NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.  THE STORMS WERE
MOVING NORTHEAST AT LESS THAN 10 MILES AN HOUR.
