FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  230 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA
 
   ...EASTERN LAC QUI PARLE COUNTY...EASTERN AND SOUTHERN SWIFT COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAINS CONTINUE DEVELOP AND MOVE ACROSS LAC QUI PARLE INTO WESTERN
CHIPPEWA AND SOUTHERN SWIFT COUNTY OF WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA. THE
HEAVIEST RAINS WERE LOCATED FROM MADISON TO MILAN TO BENSON...OR 20
MILES WEST TO 25 MILES NORTH OF MONTIVIDEO. FIVE TO EIGHT INCHES OF RAIN
HAVE FALLEN ACROSS THIS AREA AND DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES THAT ANOTHER
TWO TO THREE INCHES ARE POSSIBLE BY 230 AM.
 
FLOOD WATERS ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.  DRIVING THROUGH HIGH WATER
IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO.  TWO FEET OF MOVING WATER IS
ENOUGH TO CARRY AWAY MOST CARS.  IF YOUR CAR BECOMES STALLED
IN HIGH WATER...ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY.
