TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  300 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA
 
   ...SOUTHERN ONSLOW COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
AT 227 AM WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO
8 MILES NORTH OF SNEADS FERRY ALONG THE NEW RIVER. THIS TORNADO
WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH AND WILL BE PASSING OVER THE CAMP
LEJEUNE AREA BETWEEN 230 AM AND 245 AM. THE TORNADO MAY APPROACH
PINEY GREEN AND HUBERT BEFORE 3 AM.
 
TORNADOES WHICH OCCUR AFTER DARK ARE ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS. GET TO A
PLACE OF SAFETY NOW. STAY AWAY FROM DOORS AND WINDOWS. LEAVE MOBILE
HOMES AND CARS FOR THE SAFETY OF A STURDY BUILDING. IF DAMAGE OCCURS
NEAR YOU...STAY INDOORS UNTIL DAYLIGHT. THERE MAY BE DOWNED POWER
LINES AND OTHER HAZARDS THAT CANNOT BE SEEN IN THE DARK.
