SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  445 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

AT 335 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATE TWO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS...ONE ON THE NORTHERN SIDE OF MARK TWAIN LAKE...THE OTHER
ONE 10 MILES EAST OF HANNIBAL OR 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF PITTSFIELD
ILLINOIS. THESE STORMS ARE CAUSING A SWATH OF HAIL AS THEY MOVE TO THE
EAST AT 40 MPH. HAIL PEA SIZED TO 3/4 INCH IN DIAMETER WAS COVERING THE
GROUND IN HANNIBAL.
 
PERSONS IN THE COMMUNITIES OF BARRY AND PITTSFIELD IN ILLINOIS...AND
NEW LONDON IN MISSOURI...SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR THESE STORMS. DAMAGING
WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.
 
HAIL LASTED FOR 8 TO 10 MINUTES IN HANNIBAL.  PERSONS DRIVING IN THE
VICINITY OF THESE STORMS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR VARYING DRIVING
CONDITIONS.
 
THIS IS THE SECOND IN A SERIES OF STORMS TO PASS THROUGH THE AREA. LOCAL
FLOODING AND PONDING OF WATER IS NOW POSSIBLE.
